Client: Internal use
NOG Solutions — Corporate Website
The challenge
A corporate website that broke away from the generic landing-page template — without looking like “just another templated site,” keeping high performance despite an ambitious visual identity, and working well on any device, from powerful laptops to more modest hardware.
The process
We followed the same Method we apply to any project — except this time the client was us, which demanded the same rigor we demand of any delivery:
- Diagnosis and architecture: choosing the stack (Astro for static performance, TypeScript across the codebase, a proprietary design system) and the visual identity — an exclusive palette, typography, and motion, decided before any production code was written.
- Iterative development: each section built, tested in isolation, and reviewed before moving to the next — the hero, the architecture diagram, the interactive terminal, blog and cases, a contact form with its own backend.
- A dedicated security review: before any release, a full sweep for exposed sensitive data, input validation, and infrastructure configuration (rate limiting, CORS, security headers) — the same process we describe in our blog.
- Performance and compatibility fine-tuning: real testing across multiple devices and screen widths surfaced concrete fixes — mobile responsiveness, how the graphics engine behaved on varied hardware, and one important correction in how the site itself was compiled, ensuring the visual design reached every browser intact.
- Adaptive hardware detection: rather than relying on OS-level settings (which don’t always reflect what a user actually wants), the site measures a device’s real processing capability to decide how much visual richness to render — smooth on any machine, without giving up the full experience on hardware that can handle it.
- Continuous operation: monitoring, first-party analytics, and the same post-delivery support we offer any client.
What we built
- A proprietary visual identity: a design system with an exclusive palette, typography, and motion — no generic UI framework underneath.
- A custom graphics engine: a hero built on a WebGL shader written from scratch, with adaptive device-capability detection so smoothness is never compromised.
- An interactive architecture diagram: draws itself as you scroll, visually showing how we structure systems (edge, API, services, data, observability).
- A real interactive terminal: a working shell embedded in the site, not an animation — a direct reflection of our technical culture.
- Blog and case studies on our own CMS: built on Content Collections, with no external CMS or extra database.
- First-party analytics: visitor metrics with no cookies, no third parties, hosted on our own infrastructure — our data, under our control.
- Bilingual (PT/EN) from the architecture up, not translated on as an afterthought.
Infrastructure
Hosted on our own VPS, behind Caddy with automatic HTTPS, with a dedicated Node.js/TypeScript API running as a monitored service. Nothing outsourced — from provisioning to deploy, the same hands that designed the system carried it through.
Why it matters
We don’t ask you to take our engineering on faith — you’re browsing it right now.
